How to store stainless steel strapping to maintain its performance?

1. Roll storage: Stainless Steel Strapping uses a dedicated rolling mechanism to retract the strapping into a single roll, avoiding tangling or damage caused by scattered stacking.

2. Moisture and rust prevention: The storage environment should be kept dry and well-ventilated to prevent moisture from corroding the stainless steel surface. For long-term storage, apply rust-preventive oil or rust inhibitor to the outer layer of the roll.

3. Batch packaging: Strapping of the same batch and specification should be placed in the same roll, with a weight not exceeding 5 tons, to facilitate handling and prevent mixed batches.

4. Prevention of mechanical damage: The ends of the roll should be neatly arranged, and short steel pipes should be packaged separately to avoid deformation caused by pressure or collision at the ends.

5. Use of specialized tools: When strapping, use tensioning tools of matching width (such as LQA ratchet type, HTC screw type) to ensure even tension and prevent excessive stretching that could lead to material fatigue.

6. Regular inspection: During storage, regularly inspect the surface of the roll for scratches, rust spots, or deformation. If any abnormalities are found, replace or repackage it immediately. 7. Avoid high temperatures: Do not place the strapping in high-temperature environments to prevent the metal from thermally expanding and generating stress, which will affect its strength in subsequent use.
